Hi everyone,

I'm designing a system with a 4' long tank, the plan is to keep LPS and softies. I want a few leather corals in here, but my plan was to make the tank 48"x12"x12". Do you think this proportion would work well?

Thanks,
Drew

Leathers can get quite tall, this may pose a problem unless you frag them. My only concern would be lighting; your fixture may have to be off the water surface a fair amount depending on the intensity. Otherwise, should be fine, but there are limitations to a shallow tank: narrow PAR range, limitation on power head size, etc.
