Well guys, if any of you want to follow along, I am starting a new tank. It arrived today at the LFS and will start the set up tomorrow. Moving up from my 46 Gal, hang off the top skimmer with a canister filter. BOOO!

Got my new tank today, stand and sump. Sump was to big to fit in the stand so had to disassemble the stand to put the sump in. Then it was to wide so I had to chisel about 1/4 inch out lol.

I call it the Trump sump. First I tried foam

But then realized when I get my skimmer it won't fit between the stand and the top of the sump

Finally got the sump set up and full, added 2 heaters

And put in the return pump

Later some dried rock in the refugium, stuck a hydor power head on the side out of my 46 Gal display tank with algae on it to start the flow of water. Ran out of salt will have to hit the LFS tomorrow and start the rock work and sand bed.

Anyone that is following, my skimmer is on back order, hopefully will see it later this week.

Still waiting on my power heads and my skimmer, for now I have slowy been adding rock. I am still doing 5 gal a day out of my 46 gal established tank and putting it in the 120 tank. I also transferred over 1 rock from the 46 gal tank. I am also phantom feeding every now and again.

Ammonia is at 1ppm, nitrite is at 0ppm and nitrate is 1ppm.

I want to put one of my blue legs in there to see how it does lol. Rock work won't be finished until the 46 gal teardown. Still changing it, let me know your thoughts

How is the build going?
I didn't see to much interest in the build so I haven't really posted, but it is all done and has been running for a few months. My acros are starting to take off and my lps are splitting softies are exploding. Got a RO system the other day and am going to pick up a TDS meter and trace elements kit as well. Today is a good day. Just started getting into the high end Acro's
