So I was was only able to finish the wire chases today hopefully next week and I’ll be able to get the doors and everything else done.

I saw this nice acro colony at an LFS and could not help myself. I was going to wait until I moved the tank before putting any sticks in there but I’m weak! I cut it into four pieces and this is one of the four sorry for the crappy picture but I’m still trying to figure out the photography end of this

Nice! Which LFS did you acquire this from? I have been checking out a couple in the area. Blue Earth had a pretty nice selection of corals and dry goods

There’s a place called aquarium shop on pga and us1. They actually have a nice shop. The owners name is Andy, very nice guy and they have a pretty impressive assortment of corals fish and equipment too. There’s really not much left in WPB. Blue earth is nice but everything else it really bad. It’s crazy how you can own a reef aquarium shop and not do Maintenece and let all your stock get sick and die. I’ve been to one in particular that a couple employees and the owner just sit around while everything looks like hell. So I guess I may be driving.

There’s a place on Northlake and old dixie in a small industrial park that is actually pretty nice too.

This weekend I’m definitely finishing the stand. I’m also gonna take final measurements to build the sump

So I just added a muffin fan that will pull air from all wire chases and expel the to the back of the stand. Super quiet.

Filled all exposed screws with epoxy, even though they’re stainless. I don’t want water to collect in there and cause a problem.

I stopped at the causeway in Key Biscayne on the way to work early this morning in picked up some Halimeda and a little bit of a nice yellow macroalgae

I just realize there’s a few little pieces of some kind of seagrass also

I also picked up a big red dragon a week ago and fragged it. It’s doing really well so far.

I built an ATO reservoir out of a 10 gallon brute can. I have to say next to my three children in my little dog that 10 gallon garbage can is the cutest thing I have ever seen. So I have a low float switch a float valve and a high float switch above that JIC the valve sticks. I also have a 1/4 bulk head just below the low level float switch. I tapped the brute can and all the parts threaded nicely into the can. I did a water test and all is water tight.

My current sump has a float valve in it and the water drains from the reservoir as needed. I’m also planning on adding a kalk stirrer I picked up from eBay soon to try to keep help my PH up.

I also purchased a break out box from eBay so I could connect the float switches to my apex. This thing is very nice, it came with nice jacks with little covers to keep the water and dust out and also included were the pigtails to connect your devices plum mounting hardware. The seller got them to me very quickly and even emailed me to give me an option of 6 different colors. I would definately recommend this seller. Swamped at work I have the stand done but have to wait until next weekend to bring it home and switch them out. Here’s some pics of the red dragon and that big milli Colby I picked up. They’re doing well healed and growing. I actually just picked up some frags you may be able to see in the picture. Pink lemonade, acid trip milli and Walt Disney along with a monti setosa and a LA Lakers
