I had high iron so I think the w.d went a little green but I am addressing that, but overall it's looking good.

Pc rainbow is looking good to with new growth, I want a piece of it in my other system along with the w.d right now they are my 2 favorite pieces to watch grow.

Good luck on the growout!
Keep us posted on the shine.
I looked at it but did not see the advantage of trying to control more than may be needed.
Yeah thats definitely something I've said already also, but I'll give it a try and see if it's for me. I will put up my info on it as time goes on. Thanks for the luck :)

I sent icp out today, haven't done any waterchanges since the last test, visually every thing is doing good.

The bc corals are starting to color up, its been 20 days since I received them. the grow out piece I received was almost a goner, with mostly bone showing through its thin skin :( , I nursed it back to health luckily, but I didn't realize Adam was replacing pieces in this condition, and sending people new ones with more heal time in his system, one person just received their piece with amazing colors and some people got some really nice starters! I'm definitely starting at a disadvantage. That's ok I can complain on my thread :) :) ;) and there's still plenty of time for the magic to happen.

Here's some b4 and now shots of the bc's(blood bank, and peek-o-train) and w.d and pc rainbow update pics.

I just got some sweet pieces in off ebay from wwc I can't believe the steal I got them for and shipped Saturday. Unfortunately one of them, the "fire breather " has a tissue narcrosis when it was in the bag and is in bad shape, but it may pull through. I'm in contact with wwc, they are great and even if they don't replace it the mojo man is looking good and polyps out, I got that one for 21$!!! I'll get a picture up in a few days they don't look great at all right now, and depending if the firebreather makes it. I've gotten most of the corals seen in this thread off ebay from wwc and I always have gotten a great deal they hide a gem or two in every week, and these were it, I got them both!

"Blood bank grow out coral" coming back, color is starting to come in, I thought it was a goner for the first day, now it's going strong I expect it to do ok now. Nitrates and phosphates low, increasing dosage along with new growth to keep up. Moonshiners method working good for me so far, I think I'm going to do at least one ICP a month for this year's trial run. I'm also dropping tropic marins A&K from my 2 part, I will be continuing the balling part c, and also stopping large water changes, I haven't changed more than 3 or 5 gallons since I started.

I must say I don't know what it is but the tank looks amazing something is definitely going on, to soon to tell but I look at my tanks all the time and something is happening not sure if its the shine because i have changed so many things, it could just be the increased flow or the lower alkalinity more lights lower intensity, who knows :)

Bloodbank is coloring up nicely, if it survives the year this will be an interesting piece, its sitting at about 3-650par thrugh the day, it is just now getting settled in to its spot and the color is looking better by the day, im increasing nitrates a little due to some thin skin issues.

Lucked out with the hurricane and didn't lose power for more than a hour, having some minor reefing issues with no internet or app control but getting by manually until things are back up and running. Overall we couldn't be luckier so many are dealing with so much damage my prayers go out!

FTS updates, the tank is doing great, i still haven't done a waterchange which is very foreign to me. I have added liqui-mud and vitamin-x to my moonshiners regiment. Also I've finished off my 2 part containing A&K, I need to send out icp end of week which is a week early but I won't be able to next week, thats ok because I'm waiting/hoping for iodine to come down so I can start adding it to my daily additions.

Sent out icp today a few days early, also I received a few frags from wwc and moved some corals up to the rocks, all last months new corals are coloring up good, and my bloodbank coral is doing good too, with only a small spot of thin skin left.

I moved my W.D up on the rocks to a bit higher par I think its ready.

Also, your corals look really good. Moonshiners seems to be working for you. ;)
Thanks its still to soon to tell results but I really like the method, once you get past the idea of needing an icp test once a month and doing daily additions its not too bad, LOL. I like it because it has me pay better attention to the tank and I already do tank stuff everyday anyway so its not that much more to do, and if it saves a few water changes all the better. I just did a 5 gallon water change in the past 2 months normally I'd have done around 100gallons by now. And that's the same for my other tank but by half.

So far I really like it, there's more reasons for me, but it's still new to me, still figuring it out :)

A couple of the normal top downs that photograph well. I'm seeing a few color changes and deeper colors in these. And since I moved the w.d up to the top rocks I can see the green skin turning more yellow and looking awesome, it barely went into shock im glad i waited a few months . I'm really staying on top of nutrients daily and testing regularly, I believe this is what I need to do for the next few months without slacking off. The tank is still maturing and has a long way to go I'd say it's just now getting out of its infant stage and now is when it's starts getting good. :)

Remounted w.d it's color is slowly starting, it's going to take a little time with this one, it's looking better in blues now.

W.D has come a long way since I put it up in the higher par,its polyps are turning more yellow.

(No sales tactic filters used) :)
