dirty glass, been that way for a while been busy lately! I'll be doing some cleaning.

also started using acropower last Monday im going to set up a dosing head for it, I've also been dosing kz FWS for about 3+ months daily on a dosing head, hopefully all these combinations help out, still doing the moonshiners but have been relaxing on the icp after a few skewed test results has kind of lost my trust. everything seems to be doing really good other than the dirty glass :)

Hey brother you think you could get some fish photos for us?

Also how much light you think the centerpiece(s) birdsnest is receiving ?
what fish?? jk, but I don't have many fish I have 7 chromis a scopas tang and the foxface. they are all skittish even though I feed them like pigs, but I have a few pictures of them they have all been in this tank for a couple of years the foxface was last.

the birds nest, is hard to say what the par is. it varies all day long but I run 12hrs from 11am-11pm, it tops out at probably 4-500par I get like 280-300 on the ground at peak so it's quite a bit of light, but i also have it in my other tank that is a lot less light and I think it looks just as good maybe better, I also have a little piece in a small tank under an ai prime with pretty low light and even that one looks ok. I think it adjusts to lighting pretty good so I don't think light is the deciding factor for its health or appearance.

the new corals came in rough shape from shipping, they're pretty small but they look to have recovered pretty good and I actually see them laying down tissue now.

I will remount and move them in a few weeks, im pretty excited about them, its the only milleporas I have, and I've never grown any before. wish me luck!

you were my inspiration behind that coral!!! I hope I can do half as good, and I'll be just fine ;)
Cool! They do like high light and flow. Here are growth pics.
16 month growth for reference.

still chugging along, I'm back to weekly water changes and have pretty much quit moonshiners. it just didn't fit into my schedule and the results didn't win me over to make it change my schedule. I did an icp this month and did the adjustments but that about it I've stopped doing the dailys pretty much.

I feel like the waterchanges are making more of a difference and I am sold on those again I have tried to make them easier and that's helped alot. I have the ability to make and store large amounts of fresh water and mixing up a fresh batch of saltwater is rather easy, so I will be back to old fashioned waterchanges weekly.

here's a few updated pictures, a little blue because of time of day.

So I found one of those Smart AWC water change/top off systems and I dont look back. Its awesome to be able to push a button and know 3 gallons of water will be changed... (and I can schedule it)
I hooked up an old Danner to pump up and over, through a pipe in my the ceiling to my house drain. I have a BRUT fulll of saltwater next to the tank but that could be remote as well.
really convenient.

my goal is to make a drain in my room! right now it's 5gallon buckets to the toilet (kung fu style) but I'd love to make it more efficient. what "smart AWC" are you using ? you say it's pretty exact for gallons removed and replaced?

The one I got was a version or two before this. Got it used new in box from a local guy

I got the dongles that allow you use any pumps, not their small DC pumps.
Ive been running it over a year now I think and havent had any issues with their optical sensors. (havent cleaned them either)
