There is 5 large rocks and 2 branching rocks. The rocks are huge lol, each weights about 60 lbs. So i just stacked them, Only two rocks touch the back wall, the rest is all free standing. Makes for a sturdy platform. Then the corals filled in the rest ;)

Most of the corals are 3+ years old. The named chalices like bubblegum monster, ome, emerald, urkle, etc started out as 1 or 2 eyed frags. I dont frag very often so this is pretty much 3+ years of growth on most of them. The oldest one is probably the emerald mummy at almost 5 years old.
So for chalices collecting it took 5+ years lol
I have been at this hobby for over 20 years.

Thank you much guys, ya the coralline gets out of control, and that tank is deep it's really hard to reach to the bottom!

For some reason I like the coralline. It gives the tank a more natural look. But if you want to get rid of it, why not try one of those long Kent scrapers.

I use kent salt. I do a 15g water change every two weeks.
As for dosing, i add elos pro skimmer and omega. I also run a kalk reactor for my evaporation water and a calcium reactor.

Wow that is some collection you have there!! Did you have any issues with some of them on placement? I heard a lot of people have issues with the placement with their chalices in regards to light and flow. What kind of flow would you say you have running through the tank? I am wondering because I just got an alien eye frag and right now it's on the sand bed and I am still trying to decide where to put it as I have lots of light in my tank.

Ya i have had some trial and errors with different species of chalices. The tank was originally setup as an SPS system so there is a closed loop running. With the way the corals have grown in it has slowed that down, but as long as there is enough flow to keep detritius from settling they seem to do fine. I do have issues with some chalices sting other chalices, like the keylime mango chalice doesnt like anything within 3" of it. While others like the oregon mummy eye and bubblegum monster have grown together. Most of the chalices do really well under lower light. I am running two 250w 20k radiums and 90% of the chalices are atleast 14" or deeper from the bulbs

This makes a non chalice keeper want some! Just took few minutes looking thru the pics. Very nice. I'm really liking the swamp fire. Just haven't took the chailice dive yet, but every time I see something as good as yours, I'm looking closer at taking the dive. Also, are you harvesting coraline??? Just kidding. Awesome system.

You have such big colonies! Looks great. How do you have so much coraline? Your tank looks so old and full. How old is it? Keep doing what your doing. By the way, what do you do? Dosing? etc?
