120gal lighting

would a 8 bulb ati sunpower be to much light for a 4x2x2 tank. i have the chance to sell my current 6 bulb tek light to a buddy so thats why im asking. i am eventually going to upgrade to a 48x30x22 (135gal) tank so i figured the 8 bulb would be perfect for that. but untill then i will have it over the 120gal
