So starting the build I had to make a level pad because my basement was very Unlevel.
the sump I had got used off a store for about $80 so couldn’t pass that deal up.
next in the process was getting the stand I had built and the tank down to my basement which wasn’t very easy and took a bit of help but we got it down and on the pad.
I then dry plumbed everything to get an idea of where I wanted to run the pipe and had already ordered everything and a little extra just incase I had forgot and messed up and glad I did order extra.
I glued everything in place and then went and started to fill with water which took a bit of time but finally got filled and broke down my old tank which was going into this tank.
Pics of the old tank.
I added the old and some new dry rock I got off another local hobbyist who had it for sale and the tank finally started to come together.
Added all the equipment and lights and stated programming timers and a lights schedule for the new tank, had my old schedule from the old tank so just messed with that a bit to get what I wanted to look like.
I also added a door to the stand some understand lights and also decided to make a controller cabinet for all the plugs and the new apex el I had just purchased for this tank.
At this point I hadn’t hooked up the apex yet until I ran a Ethernet cable to it so I didn’t take pics after I got it all connected and running.
now I’m working on getting dosing setup and letting things run though the beginning stages of a new tank with swings and algae but slowly working my way everyday to a more stable tank.
will update when more is done or added thank you for looking
