Getting my equipment list together for my 125 gallon 6ft tank.

I was told AI hydra makes some excellent lights that I have read up on and want to go with.

Since I am not doing SPS and I didn't want overkill I was hoping the HYDRA 26 would be good for my application.

My question is how many. I was first thinking 3 but I am afraid there will not be enough coverage and I should go with 4?

I would like to hear from people with experience with the coverage of these lights.

Thanks.

4 would be best yes. 3 would be fine probably.
And over kill , not really , it has a dimmer.

Check out the Ai site. The hydra 26 might be a good option. The spread seems a bit better. Not the same intensity.

I have two of them over my 48 inch 90 gallon in the aquatic life t5 fixture. 3 would cover a 6 foot tank especially if your just running softies and some LPS.
I jumped on the T5 LED bandwagon and love it.
You could run 2 of the aquatic life t5 36 inch fixtures with 4 prime HD’s and have more even spread with the ability to add some sps later if wanted. Price is about the same but, the look isn’t as sleek as the primes with the mounts they make and you don’t need the extra light...

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
