Wow... 10 years ago I bought a used refractometer. I have never calibrated it in all this time...

DO NOT FOLLOW MY EXAMPLE!!!!!

I just checked the calibration on my refractometer today after 10 years of use. It says on the calibration fluid bottle to adjust to 35 ppt. The reading without any adjustments was 34.9 ppt...
old school.

When speaking to them ... did you refer to it as a "thingy"? I hope so ... :grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes:

No, Gonis. SBB. No name.
I almost lost all of mine when the dinos came. They are just now starting to recover. I lost a few tho. They seem to like when I dose iodine too.

I had a war going on. Pink fell on top of green, that did not go well at all... Green wont stop shrinking on me, and the pink is growing again now.

I've got several that aren't doing too well right now. I started dosing phosphates for the Acros and now the Gonis are sad. I started some Trace Elements which I was hoping would help but the worst one may be a goner. I can still see polyps but the skin is tight and the polyps stay fully retracted but open. I've moved it to different flow and different light intensities... Who knows. Corals are stupid and fickle. But beautiful and wonderful and such.

Everyone says Gonis don't kill Gonis but mine sure seems to fight.

Oh yeah, and in fish news, I think the Mel is becoming a male. Good or bad news is yet to be determined. He leaves the Four Spot alone. They swim together without a care in the world, eat right next to each other with no aggression, pick at the same rocks, etc.
