Hey guys! 13g EVO sprung a leak. I have a 40g that I planned on finished cycling before transferring anything. Problem is, tank still has .50ppm ammonia. No nitrites and ≈15ppm nitrates. Fish and coral are in a buckets now w/ heaters. Is it safe to put them in there? I have live rock and media from 13g in the water as well. If I put that in the sump would that help a ton?

What test kits are you using. You may have false readings.
You may also transfer contents into a rubbermaid tub running sponge filter and air stone plus utilizing lighting

API ran out of Red Sea test about 2 weeks ago, ammonia wasn’t reading as high as it is now with the api. Planned on getting new test tomorrow when I had time.

I for sure suspect false readings and likely lower when you retest with new kit
