I have a 14 gallon tank with a sump. I cannot get decent filtration. The tank just will not stay sustainable. I made a DIY wet/dry type sump with various live rock (light on at night) with bioballs, ceramic, and felt for mechanical filtration. Live rock is in the display. Everytime I think I have it going the right direction, the tank turns on me. I don't want to invest anything in it, with the exception of some DIY sump changes. I have about a 12x12x12" area to work with in the sump. Anyone have a better DIY sump idea?
