144 gal Oceanic Half Circle Predator Tank Build

I just started plumbing my new predator tank. My first plumbing I've ever done. Still have to plumb in new algae scrubber, uv sterilizer, etc etc.

Any tips and advice are greatly appreciated. I am experienced with reef tanks, but this is my first predator tank.

Got the algae scrubber from 302 Aquatics. Just have to plumb that in with the UV sterilizer.

Nice coral/ back drop work. How are you looking to export nitrates? Looks like you have room for a Refugium after the skimmer.

Definitely gonna do a nice fuge after the skimmer. Possible even a denitrater if needed. :)

I love my half circle, I have a half circle reef tank. The only thing I hate is trying to clean the glass. A regular magnetic cleaner just doesn't work right and will scratch it on the curve if you go to fast so be gentle. Otherwise just stick ur hand in there and clean it the good ole fashion way, with elbow grease!!

I love that 144 tank. I am picking one up today from a guy online. I have always wanted a half circle and I got a good deal for one in great shape. I am looking forward to the build and will be a mixed reef from my current 65.

Looks cool! Can't wait to see a fish list. I'm curios as to why you did a full hard plumb instead of doing a small piece of tubing off the return pump? Are you not worried about the noise level off the pump?
