15 GALLON FOR WORK OFFICE

Hey all, I am thinking of picking up a 15 gallon for my office desk at work. (so not at home)

I was thinking of just grabbing a 5 gallon but I dont think I could do anything for a single fish even...maybe im wrong?

But anyways, I am no expert but definitly past beginner in reef keeping, have a larger tank at home doing great!

Any unique or interesting fish? If anything ill get a clown because they swim around in a fun way, but I have 2 clowns at home so willing to try something more unique, but needs to be able to eat pellets from an auto feeder for the weekend I am not in the office.

Give me some ideas!!

I thought about putting a yellow clown goby in my 5 gallon tank. But yea, not much options for fish at 5. 10 gives you slight wiggle room but 15 is a sweet spot for office tank.

For sure, I may decide on a 10 gallon too if I can find a deal on one. Just would be easier to change the water with a small tank so I didnt need to bring so much from home, but 15 gallon would be easy with only 1 or 2 fish so im not constantly having to worry about peramiters.

Ahh gotcha. Honestly, you have good options for those sizes. You can get an Eshopp deskmate if you want to go the smaller route. You also have waterbox, Red Sea, Innovative Marine tanks, and a couple of others!

My vote is 5G or 9G deskmate :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Or for costs, go with IM 15 gallon. For just under $100. Can't be beat.

If you can get an IM nano you can't beat the price or quality. I would do the 10 or 15. The nice thing about IM is the versatility of the products that fit in the back chambers. Skimmers, reactors, uv filters. You can easily upgrade the return pump as well.

I have the 20 at home. I am a fan of all in ones just so simple and clean.

I will probably look at a 15, gives me more options for scapes and stuff, and then when I am told I have to take it home I can do more with a bigger nano HAHA.

If I go that route just need to decide on what feature organism I should put in.

Day 1 to start the new year.

Picked up a 15 gallon IM all in one.

Tried a different style of aqua scape this time.

So far just complements on doing a tank in the office (Im the first haha)

Now what to fill it with??
