ive been putting this build together since april and 3 days ago i finally finished and started filling the tank pictures below show the progress the tank is a 150g (72x18x28) with a 30g eshopps sump and hob overflow that i hooked an aqualifter pump to keep it from loosing siphon

I painted the stand and back of the tank onyx black it was originally white

Great start! Reminds me of my tank when it first got going (yours is twice the volume though). That reef cement is a PAIN but works great once it dries.

It disappears once the rock cures. You can't even tell that I ever used it. When I started and now:

Yeah the rocks on the left of my tank are gravity held but this one is cemented. Neither one of them really move and I'm DEFINITELY not moving the cemented one!

It took my tank almost 4 months to cycle fully. But I did it the slow way, from scratch with almost all dry rock. This is the hardest part!

well it looks like im in the home stretch my nitrites are starting to fall looks like soon i can finally see some action in this tank lol

could it be because i started dosing with microbactor7? i ordered from amazon and got it sunday so i dosed sunday afternoon and today maybe its just coincidence i have been cycling for 3 weeks i started dosing too late to really know for sure

also looks like i need to give these filter socks a washing soon possibly lookin a little dirty
