Absolutely beautiful tank, and the craftsmanship of the whole setup is top notch (your ATO design is so convenient!) As a fellow office reefer (and Southern Californian) I could stare at that tank all day whilst attempting to do work (like I do mine and it's barely even started!) Looking forward to continued updates!

Thanks Genxin, having the tank in the office is pretty sweet and makes a good zoom/teams background haha. Looks like yours is off to a great start as well! I set up a 32 gallon cube in my wife's office, I really like the foot print.

Hi all, here are a few update pics from my frag tank and office tank.
I ordered a 60”x36”x20” frag tank for the garage, and am trying to sell some corals to fund it. I am planning a total overhaul of the garage system and probably will sell my office tank. Having two separate systems is getting old. Twice the ICPs, twice the dosing, water changes etc. i may attempt to plumb a smaller tank from my office to my garage under the house, but I am skeptical it will work.
Anyways enjoy the pics :)

I switched from a Calcium reactor a few months ago back to 2 part. I have been using the BRS 2 part (mixed with 200 ml each of Tropic Marin Pro Coral A- to the Alk and K+ to the CA per gallon) and tropic Marin part C bailing component. I also add a drop of Lugol's every other day to each system.

Here are some ICP tests I just got back, this method seems to check most of the boxes.

Here is the Frag tank system

Great results.
Any idea how much your ALK consumption is in your system?

Hey Janci,
My consumption is down a bit because I let my CO2 media exhaust (lowered my PH) I just replaced it this morning. My trident and dos automate the dosing so it is interesting to see it go up and down depending on PH etc
This is my consumption today, usually closer to 158 ml per day for alk. (The “carx” probe is actually measuring PH in my tank, so is the “PH” probe, I think the “CARX” is more accurate.)

I haven't seen an automated configuration based on pH to adjust the amount of dosage. That's pretty awesome. Goals for my future tank!

Sad to hear you're thinking of parting with your office tank JPK! I completely understand the multi-tank maintenance burden though. If I venture west out to...Ventura (I think?) some day maybe I can buy a few frags off you (though advanced SPS is probably beyond my newbie tank still.)

Hey Gedxin, The Trident and Dos automate based on my desired Alk (8) and Ca (440) values, and will dose more or less through out the day in order to try to stay close to that set value. When my PH range is higher, the tank uses more Alk and therefore the Dos doses more to try to stay at my set numbers. So it is not based off PH, but the amount I dose is definably related to the PH. Hopefully that makes sense.

You are more than welcome to grab some frags if you ever come this way!! SPS isn't really that hard as long as things are relatively stable. I have some pretty hardy ones that could handle a newer tank :)

I have still been reefing, but a promotion and life have kept me pretty busy lately and off the forums. However, I have still found time to continue my new build.

Part of the new build involved taking down my office tank, which is no longer in service. I sold it to a buddy of mine.

I put my ATO and Auto Water Change (DOS) in the closet and then ran everything through the wall. The Auto water change lines run up into my attic and come down into my garage where my salt mixing station and utility sink (drain) are located. I also put a power outlet in the closet to make thing easier :)

I’m more interested in the Gun Safe…. . Nice tank by the way. Your electrical set up is awesome.
