150w halide enough?

I am buying a friends 50g cube tank and I am wondering if 150w halide will be enough light? I keep mainly softies and lps with a birdsnest as my only sps.

Go for a 250 if you can. Especially if running 14k or 20k. The combination of the 150w output and the small reflectors designed for them will leave you wanting more.
