I will take mine out once a year and shake off any detrius in old tank water when doing a WC.
Have you ever used the Siporax from Sera? I do only have this available or the Seachem Matrix.
I think I might try the Siporax in my Chamber where the filter sock is.

Just dropped in, not glued yet, tester frags, to check color and settings.
I have not decided on settings yet.
Looks better in person.
Currently:
1.5hr ramp up and down. That will probably stay the same.

So far good but yesterday was day one, lol.
Yesterday I completely rearranged my 45 frag system. I moved rockwork and added 2 more Bashsea frag racks for a total of 4.
My clown which I have had for almost 6 years now was confused for awhile. I moved the frogspawn back near the overflow so I wont get bit when working in the system. It took all day for it to find it and is happy now. It is now 2 pieces as it broke when moving.
I plan to give away as many frags as I can and take some to lfs for food credit.
I will take the fast growing colony that I removed from my 120 too.
A piece also had grown onto the larger frag system and I was able to remove it. You can see where it was as the area is free of coralline.

I now plan to get some higher end corals to grow out.
I will also be changing the 250 mogal MH to leds over the next 3-4 months.
Frag system is 2+ years old now.
Also added an led and some macro from my fuge to the 40 breeder sump.
Also removed the controllers off the nano's stand so no water will come in contact with them from hand in the tank drips.

Today I checked alk not expecting a change.
1-27 alk was 8.4- Startup
1-30 alk 7.9 today
So .5 dkh useage in 3 days.
I will start dosing ESV 2 part today.
Dosing 1ml Ez trace a day.
Dosing 1ml a week of ESV Strontium.

Today I dosed 2ml of ESV 2 part and will test tomorrow for a baseline.
Going to add some stags today or tomorrow too.

Well, thats nice.. u already start to dose.
How many stags are you going to add?
The testers are comming out, well 2 are staying, and im going to add about 6 or so more and glue them down.
I need to frag my large wild stag colony soon as its getting to close to the glass.
A few other corals are touching and I need to address those too.

I typically dose all my systems from day one, with at least trace and the nano with 2 part, because of all the coralline on the rocks and pumps.
It is a very simple dosing method and after my first ICP, at 2.5 years, on the 120 it shows it works well.

Stability is key in a nano because of the small volume of water.

So I just tested alk.
Today 141
Yesterday 142
3 days from yesterday 150.

Today I will increase to 3ml and test again tomorrow.

My target is 150/8.4.
My Hanna reads .3-.4 higher than Salifert and Elos.
My tank target is 8.
7.5-8 will be my range.

If tomorrows alk is the same then I will bump it to 150 and 3ml will be my starting Esv 2 part dose.

Quick pic as I ran out of glue.
5 stags, 2 to go.
1 redish acro but I dont remember the name.
1 slimeball anacropora on a 3" disc on the bottom. This one is a weed and needs to be constantly fragged.
I need to frag a stag in my 120 and maybe 2 as i dropped the surf and turf on the ground and it broke and is stressed.
May take a larger piece of the wild green acro as it needs a serious trim. The one I put in the nano is only about 1.5".

I need to change the macro filter as the tank looks much better in person. Its way blue in these pics.
I will play with it later today when I get home.

I changed my macro filter from 20K to 15K. Not even sure why I had the 20K in but this is what my tank actually looks like.
So 11 frags now.
7 of the stags
1 red staglike acro
1 slimeball anacropora
1 I doubled up one by mistake.
I think it was a green slimer.
1 ASD rainbow milli.
I have a colony of this in my 120 but its hard to get a frag from its location.
So at lfs getting some glue and Hanna alk and I picked up the one you see.

Today I checked alk and it looks like im using .3 dkh a day. I am bumping alk to 150/8.4 over the course of the day and once at 150/8.4 I will test alk a few days in a row to verify useage.
8.4 alk is actually 8. Again my Hanna reads about .4 higher than Salifert and Elos. This is inline with my other 2 systems.

All corals have good polyp extension this morning. I did turn up the ow-25's flow from 1 to 2 yesterday running in else/random mode. Nice flow for now.

Day 9.
I reduced white from 31 to 20%.
I like this look. Running 39 watts.
I was thinning out my 120 and added a frag from the back.
Its light green/yellow with reddish/ orange tips. It was completely encrusted so some was left behind. I got the whole plug.
I dont remember the name.
1 of my Oregon Torts was loose and getting stung by my Pavona so I removed it and glued it to a 3" tile.

SoI currently have 14 frags and 2 colonys. I have room for maybe 2 more frags
Also added another small live rock to the middle where their was a slight hole.
Looks better.

Dosing 6ml of Esv once a day. It will take a few more days to get the dose stablized.

Have not measured any other levels except SG and Alk.
I will wait to test ca, mag, no3, po4, after 1 months time.

Day 16.
Current count:
15 frags
3 small colonies.
I moved the slimeball to the right side and put a wild colony I had at the bottom of my 120. It was pinkish when I got it and looks like it will color up in this system. It has white polyps.

I may have room for 2 more small frags at best.

Po4 was running .015 and is the first time I checked it.

Tank has settled to 7ml ESV two part with an alk of 8 and 1ml of EZ trace.
I did reduce white to 15% and like the tanks color at that level.

Day 20 almost 2 weeks.
Using 8ml of 1&2 daily and alk useage is .5 per day now. Will need to increase to 10ml tomorrow to keep stable.
Removed the slimeball colony and fragged it. Gave a few away and still have 6 in my frag system.
It is a true coral weed in my systems.
I did glue a frag of it to a rock.
One small nub of WD as I dropped it when transfering it and the nub is all that survived the ordeal.
17 frags and 2 colonies.
