I got up early this morning and checked the tank with a flashlight.
Polyp extentjon was incredable on
many of the corals.

Many of the corals have decent polyp extention during the day but nothing like at night.

Took this pic with no macro, just the phone. This colony has polyp extention during the day but really extends at night.
Zoom in for better polyp resolution.
During the day the polyps are white and the coral is coloring back up to a pinkish look.
Way different look under all leds vs Halides.
This coral was under black box leds at the lfs.

Yesterday I was running my aquamax media reactor with rox carbon in my frag system. I decided to let it run over night in my nano for no real reason.
In the morning I was cleaning the glass and changing the floss in the overflow. Somehow I knocked the top off the reactor and spilled quite a bit into the tank.
So I removed as much as I could and that led to a 2 gallon replacement. So first WC.
I moved the rocks around to get as much as I could.
This left an area in the back corner that I added another rock.

So today I was fragging my overgrown 120.
I added another piece of the wild acro. I also added a piece of pink floyd, a red tabling acro, and a meler yeller.
I now have 21 frags and 2 colonies.
Now at 10ml a day esv 2 part.

One month today.
I checked no3 and po4 and have been adding po4 at 1ml.
Po4 is now-.02
No3-3
I am not a fan of dosing po4 or no3 as I prefer to feed more. However with only 2 small fish you can only feed so much. I also dont by into the feed your acro trend.
So far everything is looking good with good polyp extention.
I am now at 12ml of esv 2 part.

I removed the Oregon Tort colony.
It was to big so back into the frag system. Their is a frag of it already mid tank.
I took this pic of a wild colony I had in my frag system for a month.
It was in my 120 for a few weeks on the bottom.
The colors are comming back and even better in the nano. Big difference in lighting vs colors.
The 16HD's are nice lights.

Added a small sixline wrasse today. Feeding more now to keep po4 above .02 without po4 adds.
Getting alot of coralline spots on the back and return nozzle.
Several frags are encrusting already.

A couple new pics. Tank is wet and salt is mixing! The 20gs of salt will be used for my 12g WC on my 120 and 6g WC on my 45.
I will then use the WC water to fill the nano.

The plan after that is to transfer the amount of live rock I need to fill the 12"x12" from my frags sump and 1 or 2 pieces from my frag display and fuge.
One piece already has a medium sizes stag on it.
All other stags will be added in a week or so.
I do not expect any cycle.

Sicci 1.5 is moving more water than I expected. I am running without the gaurd as it was needed so it would fit with none of the pump touching the glass.
I can actualy see the impeller which is kind of cool and its dead silent.

Eheim 50 watt heater added and small floss box for the overflow looks like its going to work.

I also have the 18" ai mount fixed and ready to go covering a 12" square at 8".

Tunze nano ato will be here tomorrow and I will get it installed.

Fish # and type undecided but no more than 4 I think.
Jebao controllers are for my frag system.

How do find gluing corals to the glass? They encrust. Wanted to try but was hesitant also I’m sure they could b popped off w/o damaging the the glass. Looking good bro. Miss the halides.

I do not miss the Halides. I am slowly switching to all leds on all systems. 45 frag system is their with 3 16's.
The 16HD's are very nice lights, imo.
My 120 still has Halides and Orpheks.

The nano aio back is plastic so the
Frags/corals stick well. On glass I had 1 out of 4 stick in my 120.
Once they are encrusted it will be very difficult to remove them if you even can.
I have 2 frag rocks on the back wall of my 120.
Several encrusted on the bottom glass of the 120.

First issue!
Tank is at 2 months.
I replaced the Sicci 1.5 with a Tunze 1073.008.
I think the flow was to strong causing air pockets in my baskets. This caused the ato to add to much fresh water. I have monitored this for a couple weeks.
I removed 2 of the baskets but it did not cure the issue.
I may put the 2 baskets back in after I am sure its not the ato and just the pump.
I have never had an issue with Tunze ato's.
My guess is the Sicci was to strong and it created air pockets in the third chamber. The Tunze flow is much slower with no bubbles visible in the third chamber.
No issue with corals but it did cause the SG to fall from 1.0265 to 1.0255.

Not much to update. All is doing well.
I am reducing all systems to an alk of 7-7.5 max.
This seems to work best on my systems.
Here is a pic from above of my frag system after transfering as much as I could from the 120 shutdown.
The 16HD's are nice leds. I will be using them on my 80g replacement of my 120. It will be a frag system with at least 2 or 3 of my favorite stags and attatched to the 30g remote fuge.

I really like the aio nano tank. It is so easy to maintain. I just missed a 40g used aio at the lfs. Like I need another system! I will most likely get another aio nano sometime down the road once my other frag system is up and running. I first have to strip the 120, build a stand for it, plumb it and get it in place. It will be my wifes Oscar tank as she has been wanting one for awhile.
More pics to come as im approaching month 3.
