I am somehow trying to be able to own a Belgian malinois or a knpv Dutch shepherd one day. And train it for bite work (I have experience in that field).

They require alot more time than shepards but are super dogs in many ways.

Agreed. I almost got a Belgian before I got my male German. He is my third in the last 20 years but my first from a working line. I'm glad I chose not to get the Belgian, its all I can do to keep this boy occupied.

Well said. The Mals are super strong bred working dogs. Its funny as I know someone who has one and it has a temperment of a family german sheperd . Not the norm but he has a ranch and alot of room.

.....still looking, where did you get that piece, I've seen a few online but not from any retailers im familiar with, they look great and most of them are less than 200$ I don't have any good local acro dealers.
Norcal corals in Redding Ca has them. They may ship if you call.
It is the lfs I got mine from.

3 days from 7 months and I noticed I forgot to plug in my ato.
SG was 1.028 this morning. Its now back to 1.027 and will bring it down to 1.0265 later today.
So I tested all parameters today.
Temp 82
Sg back to 1.0265 today
Alk 6.2 increased 1&2
Ca 410
Mag 1470 lowered trace
No3 10
Po4 .2
Added 2 tbs of gfo.

So the only coral that looks different is the pink floyd. It lost some of the yellow. Everything else looks good.
Here is a pic from this morning.

Well 1.028 is not good, lol.
The moral of this is. You unplug your ato to service the tank remember to plug it back in.
I will take full pics on the 26th, 7 months, and we will see if it did anything we cant see now.

I do the same thing sometimes, usually doesn't have much of an impact, but I kick myself every time. Tank looks great by the way!

Here is a pic I took today. Took a frag of the blue/purple tip acro to growout in another system.
I clipped the slimer. I was scraping the cactus coral off the back wall and a piece landed on the slimer. Cactus coral has killed anything it touches in my systems over the years.
Anyway system is doing well. I have bubble algae that the emerald crabs dont seem to like.
System will be 8 months in a week.
Its almost impossible to work in tne tank now without breakimg tips off.
