So I’m kind of over the whole “WHAT THE HECK IS THAT?? My tank is doomed..” phase
All the little critters are very interesting to me now. I view them as wrasse food and CUC.
BUT, what the heck is this? They’re 1mm long maybe and in my sand bed along with many other little critters (i.e. tiny worms, pods, etc)
I’m not concerned just want to learn.
About to add a little ruby red dragonet as well which I’m sure will keep microfauna populations under control in addition to my ravenous wrasses.

Also saw little “pods” in my sand bed which is why I got my microscope out in the first place. Turns out they’re amphipod eggs... but they move around like little pods. What the heck? Does anyone know if amphipod eggs are capable of scooting around?

Cool pictures! Looks more like a type of segmented worm to me. I don’t think it’s any type of nudibranch.

Ah very cool
Definitely looks like a worm to the naked eye!
I figured out that the “moving pods” are actually amphipod eggs attempting to hatch!
