I had honestly given up all hope by now and was eating dinner and about spit my food out when I saw them.

Natural hosts will result in almost instant pairing of clowns with anemone, in my experience. Captive bred or wild caught makes no difference. On the other hand, a non-natural host may take a while if ever. For percs and ocellaris, magnifica and giganteas are sure shots to quickly become hosts, as they are naturally found together. BTAs will probably eventually result in hosting, but it's a combination that is never found in nature. For maroon clowns, the only natural host is E. quadricolor (BTAs).
