2 AI HMS Single light mount kits

Have two for sale - only 4 months old. I had a really hard time getting them apart and one of the two screws that hold the top rail in place is a little wonky now on both units. You can still tighten them by hand but the Allen key won’t work to tighten them as I used pliers to loosen them. I tried to show this in the second picture. Or you can go to Lowe’s or Home Depot and get new screws.

I've had a few question on the screw - in the below picture from the user manual - it is Screw C that only holds the tension on the top rail - it has nothing to do with holding the light on or the bracket to the tank, those are different screws. So this screw will not cause your light to fall in the tank or the bracket from falling off once it's attached to your tank.

Would these work on a rimmed tank? Can you adjust the width of the legs part of the mount?
