I acclimated them, dropped them in and they've been in the sand for about 4 days now. I have only a clownfish and a Red Fairy Wrasse.

If you don't see them for 2+ weeks then worry until then no.... and even then NEVER go poking in the sand looking for them.

Okay because I am getting mixed responses, people telling me after 2 days of not coming out, they perished away.

+1 I had a red coris wrasse before and I may have seen him once every few weeks. He was always hiding in the sand bed. They'll come out eventually. And like someone else said, don't go poking around for them! Lol

Didn't see my black leopard for the first week. My melanarus wrasse took a couple days as well.

Not too mention, just because you haven't seen them, doesn't mean they haven't come out. No one looks at the tank a full 24 hrs a day even though some think they do.

I didn't see mine for 3/4 weeks and one night I couldn't sleep so went downstairs and he was out swimming around at night time. A few days later he was out and about during the days.

One of the leopard wrasse came out today! She is eating and is very active. I've notice that certain food she spits out, is this because maybe the mysis are too big?

It is related to were their primary teeth are located. Their Genus is tranlated roughly to large throat tooth. So they grab the larger pieces, chew it in their throat, spit it out, then grab a smaller piece to eat.

The other leopard wrasee came out but looks like she has a buoyancy issues so it looks like she might have a bladder issue. She can still swim fine just sometimes her tail points up.
