I want to add some more flow to my 5 + 1/2 foot tank from the back wall. I have two mp40s right now at each end and was considering adding either one mp40 to the center back wall or two mp10s off center on the back wall. My glass thickness is 3/8".

Which would you do?

I think 2 mp10s would be better if you have sand. I have a mp40 on back glass center on our 4' 120 and it's moved the sand on the front of the tank. If bare bottom then heck 2 mp40s give you all the flow you could ask for what the heck the 2 you already have lol

I think either would do the job.

I am going to use the mp10s, I'm going to add one for now and see how it does then either get a second or swap it to mp40. Don't want my sand blowing all over though. I have a decent amount of flow in the middle just want a little more. :)

I would just add another mp10. Because I have a mp40 on my back wall alond with 2 other mp40s and a mp60 along with a tunze wave box and love the flow that I have and Im running bare bottom
