Just wanted to post a quick 2 year update - went into the hobby with a lot of research but as a forst timer, still suffered from a lot of fish and coral death initially. Definitely have an easier time with softies and LPS compared to SPS Corals - they tend to suffer from spontaneous stn/rtn sometimes unless I have a big piece/colony. But I Think I'm in the groove of things now and just maintaining everything. Nothing is dying - I just have slow growth - may need to invest in more devices to check my parameters so saving for that.

Grateful for this community and fellow reefers who have helped me immensely on this journey. So worth it

Sometimes the learning curve is pretty steep in the beginning. From the pics it seems that you have come a long ways. Congrats and kudos for sticking with it, and I am glad that your tank is rewarding your perseverance now.

When you say sps corals I find the easy ones like birdsnest, Stylo, porcillopra are less popular but are easyier than zoa's to me. Lps are can be harder than certain SPS but acros's are a crap shoot
