Always wanted a drop tank, got lucky and found a brand new IM 20 gallon local

First thing I did was cut ot the AIO baffle, reseal the tank and drill it for an overflow box and return

Corner seals were tiny and not very well done so i cut them out and resealed. First time doing it and they turned out pretty good

Picked up a bashsea sump

Had a custom 3/4" plywood stand made and hand stained to match my existing 80 gallon
stand as this one will be going next to it

All plumbed and ready using a TMC Reef 2500 pump, the bashsea return pump chamber is small bit it fit great

I ended up plastidipping the back glass, worked really well, sadly. No pics of that process

Aquascapiing took some time I changed it a bunch of times, took me probably a month before inwas satisfied and glued it all together.

Leak tested and ready for saltwater. Had one small leak in a joint I had to redo

Im running an mp10 and the retun pump for now and it seems good

Lightning is current USA 95 Watt pendant. I run these over my 80 gallon and have had good results.

I like the idea of running higher wattage lights at a lower percentage

I do have an old Eshopps x-120 skimmer that fits in the sump nicely. Just not sure if its overkill for roughly 20 gallons of water volume
