I just setup my 20 gallon long tank. Right now, I have 20 pounds CaribSea Arag-Alive sand for substrate, along with 17 pounds of live rock. I'm not looking to do corals, just fish-only.

I was thinking a couple clowns, some clean-up crew when the tank is more established. Snails, crabs, and maybe a peppermint shrimp.

I was thinking about a yellow head jawfish as I used to have them and they were awesome little fish. But I'm not too sure on the tank size of the sand.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as it's been a long time since I've done this and I'd rather not mess it up.

It sounds like you're doing OK. How deep is the sand bed?

I need to check the rock. I added the sand and then placed the live rock in the tank. Since then I've mostly left it alone to let the sand settle.
