It is most likely your substrate is denitrifying, I’d not vacuum it because ur gonna release sulfide

Yeah I’ve slowed down with that one, mostly because I can’t reach the substrate with all the plants.

You need like at least 6 more serpaes. They like to be crowded because it makes them feel safer. Also that acara is gonna eat ur serpaes most likely

Acara only is like 4-6 inches full grown and can only catch thin bodied tetras.
I am monitoring the tetras, if they show aggression I will get more but so far they have been no meaner than a neon.
