Double the pipe/hose diameter = 4x the flow.

Cheers
I was just shocked it helped that much.

The max flow with that head pressure with the 1 1/2 inch outlet is 900 to 1000 gph.
My poor tank and plumbing couldn't handle much more.
I actually only want 600 gph.

I may divert some water a little later on. But when I need to I'll change to the 1 inch opening and then T off to the 3/4 going to the tank and 1/2 to somewhere else.
I don't want to loose the 600.

Well it's been 2 days and dinos and cyano are going by, by. Not all gone but going. I can see a lot of "stuff" in the water column so it's just a matter of time. I am using a sock for now to catch the big particles. I will rinse every 2 or 3 days.
