Hi All,

In process of building a large reef tank. Approx. 700-800 gallon water volume.
I am going to be running 2x Jebao dcp-20,000 (5000 GPH) pumps for returns.
1 will go via a chiller which needs minimum 1000 gallon per hour flow.
The other will go straight back to the tank.

I am trying to work out return plumbing size (using Australia pressure pipe 1.5"= 40mm-(ID=43mm) 1"=25mm-(29mm ID)) .
- option 1 = 1.5" from pump via chiller then split to 2x 1" outlets on back wall of tank, other pump same thing, 1.5" split to 2x 1". = 3000gph est without the chiller in the loop.
- option 2 = 1.5" whole way. = 3700gph est.

What is your advice, I'm leaning towards the 4x 25mm option.
