200G IM EXT (First tank ever)

Directly from IM for me, the top did come with it though I did add to mine to add the avast auto feeder to it! The lid is sadly the only part of this tank I hate 😂
I plan to eventually upgrade it, but if i blow anymore money at this very moment, mommas likely to kick me out of the dog house where im gonna be sleeping, and its raining outside right now 😅😂 as long as its something, I can rest easy knowing I wont find all my fish on the floor. I currently have a 120 gallon stocked fairly heavily. I cant wait.. 4 to 6 months kinda stinks haha but I'll try and be patient haha

Yeah I waited forever, then the thing is a beast to move, it’s well over 650lbs imo. I ended up paying people to move it tbh, it was just not worth it to do it after all the time and money spent

I got a couple buddies with strong backs who owe me one... and one is right next door with a tractor.. and the tanks final resting place is 15' from the front door so..m as of right now, I think i'm gonna man handle it lol. But yea, not looking forward to that 😂 i'm going to enjoy the honeymoon phase right now and future me can worry about that

Just saw this, and popped on to say hey! I just ordered a 200 EXT myself about 5 hours ago. The screen top came with it? I was wondering if it would. Did you order straight from IM or through someone else? I ordered through saltwateraquarium.com but it ships direct from IM so I imagine i'll get the exact same thing as you. Now... back to reading through your thread
You just couldn't wait to start blabbermouthing.

Well its time to start the planning for the final fish editions.... I did some accounting today and here is what I have

2 clowns
1 royal
1 firefish
1 filefish
1 yellow watchman gobie
4 pj's
2 diamond gobys (lord save me)
2 carpenter wrasse
1 solarnesis wrasse
kole tang
yellow tang
naso tang

18 total fish --- pretty light considering the size of my tank

the plan has always been a mandarin ( I have been culturing pods and phyto for a long time now) and have seeded so many pods and micro dose 125ml of phyto daily into my tank. I am very certain I can sustain a mandarin... so that will make 19. I love rabbitfish but passed on it because I was worried about it eating lps, that being said... love to hear what others believe would be good additions. For me, I like things to get along as best as we can and I would say right now I have that.

Do I try 2 mandarins?
Yellow Chrysus Wrasse? (would this fit in with my currents I dont know)
I have a Leapord Wrasse, Tamarin Wrasse, and Lawnmower blenny in my 40 that were originally planned for my display. But they are so healthy and have been in that 40 for so long and 2 of them are pretty hard fish to keep that I have kind of just concluded that are now perm residents in the 40. So I am open to ideas, if anyone has any???

My foxface occasionally nips at my LPS. That said i cant rell if hes nipping at the coral, or algae growing between the polyps because none of them ever look hurt when i get up to go look after seeing it. From my experience, keep them fat and they dont bother. I've only had the 1 in a 120 gallon though

yeah they are like my favorite fish too, I might just bite the bullet lol

Honestly, they are great! Mines a huge coward, but idk if thats normal or I got a defective one haha. Hes one of those "good from afar, but far from good fish." If I get near my tank at all, hes hiding and camouflaged lol. Unless im putting nori in then he comes out and eats, but hes a pasty white fat kid as he pales right out and looks at me all suspicious like 😂

currently trying to get the yellow, kole, and naso I got last Thursday to take Nori. I saw the Kole pick at it today, they are all picking at rocks and such though. Hoping they will catch on soon, got one green and one purple in

I think I just decided i will get a naso today... i love those big puppy dogs. All of my fish were hesitant at first, now my tang, foxface, wrasses and at one point, a hawkfish were scrapping for it like crazy. I would be surprised if they dont accept it soon. Once one starts, they usually all dog pile on it.

yeah I am really hoping, I leave it in, when I take it out it does break off a bit and they chase a bit of it in the water column tbh. So maybe once they associate the two they will go for it

Little project today. God I hope this works lol, the lines are run and I’m letting the rodi fill up before I program it into my x10 to test. But x10 will add water pulling form my garage into my return area, while at the same time upstream my f1 will pull water and put it down my laundry tub. The rodi unit being moved alone already and working has been huge as the waste runs through wall into laundry room sink

My best test will be mixing the saltwater and making sure once it’s ready that the x10 can prime and pull the water through the run. I really hope it can it’s only brute through wall, up a little over the laundry room and then back down into the wall behind the tank

Well, AWC is prepped and calibrated and ready. We had to pivot a bit as my x10 couldn’t pull the long run, so I moved an f1 I had out there and not two different f1s will handle the entire process

We also hooked up the aquawiz and tied it to our hydros along with salinity to give us piece of mind during this process. For now until my live rock for the 40 is done curing I’ll just use a 5 gal to fill up my ato res!

Will be putting the schedule for ato in place tomorrow as I wfh and can watch it on day 1. This aqua wiz so far has been quite nice, little expensive but hopefully worth it in the long run. It tests every 1 hour and reports to my hydros

I know it’s stupid buttttt… officially it started going today

Nothing stupid about posting your schedules here. This way, if you ever need to remember when you added them, it's documented.

Are you running Kamoer X1 Pro T's for pumps?

Yeah, I tried my x10 pump heads, but the pull was too far, so I had to relocate on of the pumps out to the garage (where the mixing bins are) so that the pull was small and the push was the long run (much easier apparently and worked). I had three of the X1's laying around
