So I recently invested in a 200gpd 5 stage rodi unit. I'm a little confused on the 5 stage part. When I put it together it appears to split off into two separate ro membranes (after the 1 sediment and 2 carbon filters) and then they join back up for the discharge, would that not be a 4 stage rodi unit since the water is only being ran through a ro membrane once? Is it possible that I can run it as a 5 stage and just link the 2 membranes (one before and one after, then to DI Chambers)? I assume that reduces the GPD?

Also, would I be better running 1 sediment and 2 carbons or 2 sediments and 1 carbon? I am on city water in a pretty urban area.

One of the stages should be RO and the last should be DI. Does it have a 3-way or check valve possibly?
