Hello everyone,
I recently bought a 205 tank and I want to have a fish only tank. I was hoping to get some suggestions on types of fish and at the same time, I don’t want to overstock the tank either. I do love angels, dwarf angels and tangs. I personally talked to a couple angel and tang expert on here and got some great advice. 4FordFamily helped me realize that my list and types would be too big or too much for my tank. As I told him, I rather get honest opinions that I don’t like then get bad stuff and the fish suffer/die because of it and I end up leaving the hobby. Here’s a list of some of the must have because my daughters or I love them and then others that I would love if it would work. I’m open for all positive criticism. This is my first attempt back in the hobby since I left it 25 years ago after a few disasters. I’ve done a lot of research and I think I got all the right equipment to make it work this time. I just want to figure out the list of fish so that I can make sure that I everything that I need for them to succeed. I also want to sort out in which order they will go in the display tank. I have purchased a 55 gallon tank as my qt tank. So here goes. I also want to focus as much as I can on the captive bred fish ( hoping it helps with aggression and disease resistance )
Ocellaris clown x 2
Royal gramma
Scribbled angel
Conspicuous or goldflake or false personifier angel
Flame angel
Venastus angel
Open to suggestions.
Yellow tang
Blue hippo tang
Gem tang or purple or Achilles tang. ( really love the Achilles )
Randal’s anthias. Schoal of them
Sand sifting goby
Shrimp
Snails.
Thoughts?
Skimmer is good up to 300 gallons.
