I've got just enough room to make 30" x 12" 20 Gallon Tall tank fit in my stand. I'm trying to fit everything but it's not so easy.

This is what I'm thinking...

Any thoughts? Thanks!

That's very busy for a sump honestly, I'd just do less.

Also if the pink is acrylic or glass in the sump from your picture how do you propose you are going to get the middle 2 pieces to stand in your sump and stay? One piece of silicon on the bottom? Dont know what your display is like but maybe just beef up your rock up there so you don't need bio media and rock in your sump. Also Refugium, skimmer, and filter roller.... how many fish are you planning to have? Or thinking about having a 0 nitrate and 0 phosphate system?

If I were you I’d just do 3 chambers, but I’m a simple fellow… check out my build thread if you like for some easy ideas

I don't have a close LFS and am hoping to get to less water changes. Skimmer would be last when I have a larger stocking.

No biomedia huh?

If you have rock in your display you really shouldn’t need bio media in the sump

Not much room in a 20L, I put priority on the fuge in this one. No water in the pics. You still have room for a few frag rocks if needed. But as stated above. If you have rock in your tank, you don't need it here. the good bacteria will be on everything anyway.

Mine is very similar minus the filter roller. The first chamber is best for the skimmer imo and having the fuge after allows pods to not get skimmed out right away. I occasionally add carbon in a bag at the last baffle/bubble trap.

I've never been keen on these roller dealies since they came out. I've been jamming poly-fil in-between the baffles for 20 years. It works, it's cheap, and it takes up no room as it is filling unused baffle space. You do have to replace it weekly though
