So as i wait to get my 210 set up im thinking of what kind of tangs i want ....would these work together?

Naso blonde tang
Purple tang (already have) in a diff tank
Powder blue tang
Hippo tang
Kole yellow eye tang
Lieutenant tang

And also is there some way you can keep a yellow tang with a purple tang in that tank

Thanks,
Chris

First, you can have a purple and yellow together. I just aded mine at the same time and made sure they were about the same size. I also have a hippo and a naso in my 180. I'd say out of your selections the powder blue is going to be the biggest challenge. Make sure if you do add one it goes in last. They can be real nasty. I've never kept a Lietenant.

If you put them in at the same time in the 210 I see no problem I had a yellow and a purple in a 125 with some minor chases for about a week and then all was cool

thanks everybody  i am planning to add the powder blue last

but is it ok if the yellow tang is bigger then the purple ...im thinking that would be good since the purple tang is more agressive

Honestly, my purple is a pushover and my yellow is way more bold. Every fish is an individual.

I love it. Great performance at a great price. Check in with Luke from Reef Filtration. He can hook you up with whatever you need. They are a sponsor here.

That's alot of tang for that tank.

In my 250g I have

1 Lieutenant
1 Sail fin
1 Yellow
1 Hippo

I think any more Tangs would be pushing it further than I would like.

You are likely to have aggression issues, IMO.

Careful with the powder blue, they can be fragile.... very hard to get one to eat so make sure it will eat prior to you getting it. I would get an achielles in stead of some of the others, thats alot of tangs for your tank.....

i have 3 tangs right now in my 180 ... a powder blue .. a lavender and a yellow .. they are pretty peaceful together .. they eat like horses .. my powder blue is a good 1/2" thick by about 5" round .. very healthy .. i got him on a trade out with my LFS here in town .. i did some work around his shop and got him on a shipment . he came in with a bag right to my house .. easy to get to eat . dont have no probs with him eating what ever i put in my system .. i did 6 months of reading and research about tangs in general .. found out for less stress on a tang its better to drip in near dark and add him to your tank when all the lights are out ... my powder was the 1st tang i put in my system 2 weeks later i got the lavender and the yellow .. at night really helps them for getting any kind of stress .. no fighting .. no proving whose cave is whose ... if i can ever get my tangs to hold still for a sec i would take pix and post .. right now im thinking of adding one more tang to it .. im crossed on what i want tho .. im thinking a chevron , blonde naso , chocolate tang , orange shoulder or a achilles .. just not really sure which one yet im still doing researching about them ..
