It's designed to be a two tier system. The closed loop that you see is on the upper shelf and the return drains down to a small sump that sits on the lower shelf.Where does the return go? I only see the close loop

So, pardon my crude drawing, but if you follow the red line I drew, that is the path of the sump return. Basically, it drains on one end of the sump, flows across the live rock (not seen in this photo) in the sump over to the return pump. From the return pump, it flows up and over into a UV sterilizer that sits behind the sump, back across and then back up and out into the tank. the outflow return is on the other side of the overflow drain box. Hope that all makes sense.Ok good and where is the return pvc pipe going ? I'm not seeing an inlet pipe

Hi Luis, I'm long overdue for an update. The tank is still up and running. A few months ago, I cut back almost everything and am just letting things fill back in. I'll see if I have time to take a few pics tonight. Thanks for lookingHey! Any new updates, I just started following the progress and I love it. I am building a similar setup!
Love this thread. It's what i want to accomplish, only without all the elegance... :) Will be on an old desk behind where i work at home, so not concerned so much with the way it looks on the outside so long as i can dream about scuba diving while i'm supposed to be working. Hope to see more pics!Hi Luis, I'm long overdue for an update. The tank is still up and running. A few months ago, I cut back almost everything and am just letting things fill back in.
