Just bought a 220 gallon and have a 30 gallon acrylic sump, I have a 12 inch metal I-beam running through my basement with two 4 inch Lally Columns supporting, I’m thinking that would be enough support to hold the weight but want some second opinions, thoughts?

I’m not a structural engineer by any means. But the main question for me would be is the tank running across (right angle) your floor joists or along (parallel) to them? How far is the tank from the I beam?

I have a 120 that’s sitting across some 2x10 joists that span about 10’ between steel I beams. Maybe 3’ to the closer beam. So far so good.

It would be just about on it maybe a foot away running parallel to it . I had 2 large pianos that came with my house (that I can’t seem to get rid of) next to my 90 with 29 sump that was running across the wall that I figure is about the weight if not more than the 220+ the 30 sump would be
