This forum doesn't get a lot of action since most people use the Cincy Reef Facebook page. However, for those of you who refuse to use Facebook (present company included 😀) here's the flyer for the 2026 Frag Swap. If you haven't been in a while, a few years ago we moved the venue to Northern Kentucky University. This venue is huge and brings a lot of reefers and vendors to the swap. There is always a great raffle, but this year is super unique in that there will be a Yurple Tang being raffled off! Hope everyone can make it out on January 17th to the swap!

Awesome! Thanks for the heads up. I’m not a member of the society and have been Facebook free for more than a decade. I appreciate you sharing on here.

I'm trying to get the word out to as many who can come. Hopefully we have another great swap next year.

If you're interested, there's a Cincy Reef meeting 12/20 at Discover Aquatics in Taylor Mill, KY. You don't have to be a member to attend but if you are a member there's sometimes a raffle/door prize given away.

Sorry, totally missed this message. It's from 11-1. They're having food pot luck style but there's no requirement to bring anything. It was the same in November and I just went for the meeting and not the food. Below is a little more detail from the page I had someone send me.

Thanks! No worries. I’ll be bringing these to the frag swap, unless someone snags them before:

I'm just getting my tank started, but it looks like I could be ready for a coral or three by the time of the show. I've never been to a frag swap. What do you need to bring to get the coral home safely? I've seen people with little lunchboxes on Youtube. Will the coral be okay in those for a few hours or is it a buy it and run it home immediately kind of thing?

I've flown back from Florida to Cincy with Coral.. kept them overnight in a hotel too. A small beer cooler is good if you're going to be a few hours. If you're in the metro area, most vendors will put aside your purchases until you're ready to leave and you can use a small canister. Between baggies the vendors have and the canisters some vendors will likely sell, you should be fine unless you're going a long way.

(These things get shipped overnight via FedEx every day riding around in trucks in insulated boxes. So they should be fine especially this time of year. -- a bit cold is way safer than too warm!)

Thanks, I appreciate the info! I do have a cooler; looking forward to seeing what I can find.
