Hi,
I have a tank that I setup 24 days ago. I bought dry rock from the LFS. They didn’t say I needed to do anything with it, just add to the tank with live sand that I bought and start cycling with your typical products. I have another tank that I’ve been running since January and pulled this rock out of the tank and added to my new tank. I have corals in it, that were added 1 week ago. I noticed these white things on the side of that particular rock. I took pics with whites lights on.
I also included a picture of the Paly and a purple spot in it that I also can’t identify.
Thank you for your help!

Not uncommon amongst zoas and palys, vermetid snail or tube worm. Due to location, best recourse is to place a dab of gel superglue from the dollar store over the tube opening and they’ll get stuck and starve

Is general super glue safe to be in the tank? Thought you needed reef safe glue if it was going anywhere near the water

Funny thing about superglue,if you are gluing a frag, immediately dip in tank water to cure it. Otherwise it burns the frag. But in this case, fill the hole, it'll die either way.

No. You can use general but it tends to smear in the current whereas gel holds together
There are industrial types that can raise concern
Household used frequently for fragging
