The heater issue was a product of me being over-tired. I went to bed half-way through tank maintenance, leaving the temperature probes hanging in the cold air all night. It sent 'Heat' signals to the two tank and cooked the fish by morning. 🙁

Right now all fish are being replaced with Butterfly fish.
Ah. I had that happen to me recently. Luckily my Hydros was going crazy so I ended up figuring out what the issue was quickly. Sorry to hear that.
Sounds like it should be a fun reboot though. Butterflyfish are awesome!

Been awhile since I've posted due to life getting in the way. Tank has been doing pretty well though despite how busy I have been. Fish are healthy and happy but corals not so much. I ordered a large cleanup crew from reefcleaners too early when there wasn't all that much to clean. That caused the hermits to just destroy everything they could. Just a few snails and my hermits survived. The hermits even destroyed my 3 zoas that I had (didn't even know that was possible but I saw it with my own eyes). Also had an issue with my trident shortly after putting those frags in that caused me to dose too much calcium so many of those frags didn't make it. Tank has been wet for 15 months now and after the initial trident incident I decided to just let things stabilize for awhile and haven't added anything other than a regal angelfish back in December.

Now that life has calmed down a bit the last few months and I've been able to have real down time, I placed an order from @Dr. Reef for some fairy wrasse and a couple purple firefish. I've been working on getting my fish used to pellets the past few days so that I can set up an auto feeder. The Foxface, Clowns, Cardinalfish and Pinstripe Wrasse are eating them but the Regal and Leopard Wrasse are not. I want to add the feeder once these new fish arrive so that they get an extra feeding while I'm at work. I think the Wrasse will appreciate that.

Also, my DMP 40 kept falling off the tank so I decided to upgrade to the DMP 55 that has the stronger magnet. Put it on the back wall and it fell off the first day. Not sure where to go from here. The DMP 40 is supposed to work on 3/4" tanks and the 55 is supposed to work up to like .82" according to the specs I looked at. I guess I should have just spent the extra money on the 60 or 65. I was only running it at 30% too
