lol it'll be fine. It's weird at first.

You both got the slow ramp and peak time / intensity concept for the corals?
I think so. Just trying to figure that AND lower the intensity overall for acclimation, although I'm not really getting comparable PAR readings at 30-40%. There's no overall ramp, just each individual slider.

Ah. Got it.
Take a peek at like Ai schedules , it's probaly close to the way yours works.

But you prob know the peak should be the preferd color mix.

It's hitting higher then the old lights at full power yes?

Haven't tried full power yet. Didn't want to shock the critters since they'd been in the dark for maybe five hours while the boyfriend was installing and before I got home from work. May try in a bit.

Yea a short spike won't hurt while your testing. Might make the fish jumpy if it's off and on.

Well. I'm going on vacation next weekend. I'll be out of town Thurs morning until Mon evening. Gonna dose a bag of pods on Wed and have a friend looking in to make sure nothing is dead but having the temp, pH, and ammonia monitored in case of emergency will make me feel better. It's just an investment in my ability to relax on vacation!

Good plan. Folks really do worry a bit too much about stuff.

Jus dont let the monitor worry you. All you need is temp.

Checked the lux at max. Old lights were maybe 18K and new lights around 30K lol. I ran them 12 hours. I have new lights running 8AM-9PM with 120 min morning and evening. I think I'm going to set morning and evening to 30-40% and midday to around 50%. Can fine tune even more when I get the Seneye.

Here's the programming I'm running right now. Might hop over to lighting forum for advice. The morning/evening are identical.

Lol. You can hop over there, chances are , it'll be me answering. But I won't be hurt if you want other opinions
The color choice unless you dig reallly really deep in science and become a nerd like me, is really just visual preference. Its get complicated past that.

Intensity and duration matter most.
What I usually reccomend is set the peak color by eye and then set the intensity and par with either meter. A slightly loewer intensity will give you a longer photoperiod.

And each the coral, as some may Be lower light. Every one usually finds the sweet spot , even with a meter it can be a best guess.

Hahaha well at least a new thread specific to programming keeps it clean. [emoji23]

I would like to get it a little more white at peak.

Lol. Not the best manual. I'd play with the light blue as "white", or CW. And hopefully someone chimes in on the thread. Trying to rember another user to tag there.

From the explanation vid I'm wondering if the app isn't configured correctly. Might drop Nano Box an email.

Well after day one with max settings at 40-50% most everything is super happy except for my stylo and my clove polyps. A little worried I may lose both of them--they have definitely browned a bit. Dropped the polyps to the sand bed in partial shade.
