halide retro
i bought the ballast and reflector used, the bulb was new and has about 3 month of use @6 hrs a day. phoenix's are good for over a year so plenty of life left. its a single end mogul base, just about any bulb under the sun the ballast will fire, even radiums (although phoenix/radiums will be be bluer and not quite 250w). ill get some pictures up later if you want. i would like $110 shipped obo. paypal, cash, usps money order all work.
ballast: sunlight supply blue wave 1 pulse start ballast (ANSI M138/M153)
reflector: coral vue large parabolic spider
bulb: phoenix 14k mogul 250w (single ended)
the scwd
bought it quite some time ago, never used the thing so i figured someone else may get some use out of it. i would like $25 shipped.
paypal, cash, usps money order, whatever's easier for you.
if you dont know what a scwd is you hook a pump to it (return, closed loop, powerhead whatever) and it switched the water flow from side to side, it has 2 outlets. how long it flows per side is dependant on the pump flow. they do add a bit of restriction but generally its not to bad. they can be used either intank or outside of the tank. outside you either have elbows over the top of the tank or use bulkheads and go threw the glass with loc-line or somthing else. in tank you just hide some hoses.
per manufacturer
"The SCWD (pronounced "squid") is a revolutionary device designed to provide alternating currents without the use of electricty. The SCWD mounts inline with 3/4" tubing, the two ports alternate the output, the bottom port is the input. A great alternative to expensive electronic ball valves. The SCWD will run on any pump with a minimum output of 50 GPH and a maximum output of 720. The switching speed and current duration is dependent on the volume of water flowing through the SCWD. You can control the duration by controlling the flow going through the SCWD. Can be submersed for use with large power heads or used externally.
SCWD is regarded by industry experts as the most energy efficient wave-making product on the market. It replicates nature by generating alternating currents within a tank or pond. These currents stimulate coral, fish, and plant growth and keep other aquatic life healthy because of the tank or pond? increased water currents and oxygenation."
switching time is between 4 seconds for a 720 gph pump al the way to 22 secondsfor a 150 gph pump. a maxi jet 1200 would switch around 10 seconds.
