26 gallon, running 6 months now. The real issue that I have had w/the water parameters is .00 phosphate. I have to dose phosphate now. If anyone has any recommendations - cool.

When my tank was new, I used Reef Roids (coral food) as my "phosphate dosing." Had I waited a month or two, I would have learned that I never needed to do that, and keeping PO4 DOWN would be my biggest issue in the latter part of my first year. :grinning-face-with-sweat: I know the inclination is to want to "fix it," but time is going to be the best option here IMO. (But every Reefer's results will vary) I'd opt to let nature do her thing and reach an equilibrium. You can feed your fish more and know that the nutrients are there.

Thank you for the input. I will use reef roids going forward. I am also for the natural approach. It will take some time before I put all this together and apply to my tank. I am not comfortable dosing phosphate because I want to figure out the problem and not use something to coverup issue/compensate. Thank you for the help !
Much appreciated
Brian

Interesting aquascape. What are your long term goals for stocking?
Long term goals for now is torches and hammers to grow. The clam I hope to have for years. I have some mushrooms not pictured in the back behind the aqua scape. I figure soft corals back there. I have a birds nest on the top shelf and would like to do another sps up there. My first sps coral. The side aqua scape I am open to ideas. Left side I have 2 small chalices not pictured but know it is in the wrong placement due to space. Maybe get more echinata’s I have one and I really like it. Maybe the sides soft ? Left side and it is very hard to see is a very small christata torch also. The front sand keep as is and let the trachy, acan and clam grow. Any ideas ?

I mainly feed the corals now with Red Sea Coral Nutrtion. I have been hesitant to use reef roids thinking that it may cause algae outbreaks even more. Help needed on this subject if anyone will share.

With the current aqua scape it will out grow itself. The plan is to upgrade to a Red Sea 250 after 2 to 3 years. I chose this tank to see if I would enjoy this hobby and to learn.
I absolutely love the hobby. Going forward on aqua scape in 250 it would be 2 islands more traditional. I chose this tank more as a display to look at some cool corals.
