Setting up a new 90 gallon reef ready tank and am looking for any suggestions/recommended equipment or feedback on layout for a 29 gallon sump.

It's our first tank with a separate sump so am definitely looking to learn as we build :)

Thanks in advance!

Welcome, and congrats on your journey.

if using a 29 Long, just get a "hang on" dual filter sock setup off Amazon. Put this and a protein skimmer at one end of the tank and return pump(s) on the other. You don't need baffles. Fill the sump to the water level needed by the skimmer. And that's it. Alternatively, a fleece roller instead of a filter sock.

I would add Bio Bricks to help with bacterial colonization. But it's not a requirement.

Keep things simple. Your filter requirements will change with time.

I would go with a fleece roller. I don't have one, but I have socks, and they suck.
