29g Biocube - first tank heat and light questions

Hi Everyone.
I bought a 29g Oceanic Biocube on Craigslist and the water temp hovers in the high 70 to low 80 range. Would switching to LED lights help me control temp better? Anything else I should consider?

I have a little fan on mine.
Also a control like reef keeper you can plug your heater it and set it to a specific temp,
This plus my fan and my tank stays at a solid 77.1 all day long
