I started in January and paused for the pandemic a 29 gallon mixed reef I try to keep it simple

marine land bio wheel no bio wheel mainly just for carbon and circulation
Cpr bakpak skimmer
Fluval nano pump
165w viparspectra

2 clowns
2 banghai
Multiple crabs snails clean up crew
Green clown goby
Hector goby

lots of sps and lps frags thanks to live sales
Several zoa frags
Several ricordia and other mushrooms
A xenia rock
Three mini carpets
Three rock anemones
Rainbow bubble tip

trying to keep right side softies right now Will probably have to move them to their own tank eventually

full tank shot in blue with filters Will post some more close up shots later

Still moving frags around to the right spots

Looks great! I upgraded to a 29 gallon this year. Yours is progressing much faster than mine! Where are you finding the live sales?

Hi reefers,

Newly upgraded to 29 w/ 20 sump as well :)

I love my Viparspectra, the thing is wickedly bright!

Whats your flow rate like in there? Seems decent for just a biowheel and nano pump.

Don’t know total flow really but seems decent and acros and everybody is happy I have the nano pump pointed to blow from right front to left front and it intersects with outputs from the skimmer and filter in the back so I have pretty good mixed turbulence across the tank areas. I do think I will need another circ pump to put on the left side as my coral colonies grow

Great live sales advertised on this board regularly. They are live but online Favorite vendor so far has been top shelf aquatics. I have gotten great pieces at great prices from there
