Removal of iodine depends on what chemical form the iodine is. Iodide is rapidly consumed by algae. Iodate slower but still will be. Organic forms are many and not commonly high.

Without knowing what it is or where it came from, it is hard to say what to do, it water cha tea should work unless the salt mix is the source.

are you dosing lanthanum to control po4? from the ICP its high . Whats you next action? even if dosed in mechanical filter it is detectable?

I was using it, that's why the first 3 tests detected it.

The last batch of 4 tests, two of three that tested for it didn't detect it. ATI was the only one that did (I think), and it was low because I had stopped using it. The first batch of tests, it was high. Some time had passed between the two batches of tests and I had stopped using it abdI had done some water changes in between. I'm thinking the next ICP test I do it will be non detectable.
