So here are the three new corals and Christmas Tree Worm Rock I got from Lighthouse Corals yesterday. And some of the ones that the previous owner didn't remove all of, and they multiplied. It's not a lot of coral, but it's a big change for me! I hope my fish appreciate the new pals.

And some of the old tenants:

There's a few more. A star polyp and some other kind of brown-based zoas. Mostly there's still a lot of room for future tenants.

Well--yeh! I tested my calcium for the first time today, daydreamed about other colors, and watched to see what the new additions were "doing" several times. I'm an easy addict!

That few corals and esecially softies u wont see a calcium drop long as u do ur waterchanges weekly mainly sps eat calc fast but even my few sps in mmy 15g system still don't effect my calc much. But when ur tank looks like bill I bet calc would drop vry fast:)

Hahaha I could NEVER have a tank that looks like Bill's! That tank may as well have gold rock in it! Amazing! But I had never tested my calcium. I was surprised to find it was 480. Gonna stick with softies at least for a long while. I don't want to jump into the deep end before I've learned to dog paddle, know what I mean?

I don't use tap water. I have a RO/DI unit and make my own. Before that I was buying at the Critter. Thanks for the tip I'll check with him!
