Is it normal to have a opaque slime building up on the equipment etc in sump I’m hoping it good bacteria and ideas

I've never had slime build up in a tank that I was cycling, I would say thats not normal. Maybe some pictures will help identify the slime.

Surface film on glass is normal. I don’t always see it, but I feel the slippery.

I agree with Mr Mojo, let’s see what opaque slime looks like. Please use white light for identification purposes.

Perhaps slime is a bit of an exaggeration I can’t actually see it but the submerged pipes etc feel slimy

lol get used to that slimy feel, I still hate it. Biofilm will grow on all surface area's, its natural and harmless. It is food for snails and other inverts. Nitrile gloves are a solution, I don't like that slimy feel so I try to use gloves
